It’s been more than seven months since I shared a ministry and life update and it’s not only time to share some news but it has become “a must” for several reasons.

• First of all, if you are reading this post, this means that somehow your name shows on my list of people I consider friends. If you don’t want to be on that list, let me know and I will send you a gift card for Hallmark and will not bother you with my ramblings.
• Secondly, what I do for the Lord is something I feel very passionate about. Two years ago I had to look for a job for a first time since the summer of 1993 and the Lord opened a door for ministry with Lars Dunberg and Global Action in Colorado Springs – the past almost-two-years in Colorado have proved to be a blessing on so many levels that I will have to post at least a dozen or so posts to share the many blessings around here (just watch out for a series of posts I will start next week called “Thankful Posts!”
• The third reason for this post has to do with an amazing opportunity to see the Gospel preached, pastors trained, churches started and souls saved. Can you give me five more minutes?

For the past several years Global Action has trained more than 4,000 people and they in turn have trained another 12,000. With our Global Modul Studies (GLOMOS) we equip leaders for effective pastoral minstry and walk alongside them in the process of starting new churches and spreading the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. Believe me, there is no sheep-stealing among our GLOMOS pastors! You can read some of their stories from here and here.

Currently we have more than 600 ministers involved in the training program in El Salvador, Honduras, Ukraine, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and India. On top of this, we have another 19 countries waiting for us to set up the training program for their people! Yes, you guessed it – we can’t do it because we don’t have the funds available to do it!

And, yes, you guessed it again! Wow! How can you read my mind!? (smile!) This is where you come as a friend! (Remember… Hallmark card awaits you if you are not a friend!)

In the end of July I will travel to India, along with my president (Lars Dunberg), for meetings with our national directors from several countries and almost all our GLOMOS coordinators – we will pray, share, plan, dream, strategize and step forward with a great new program that I’ve come to love and feel very passionate about. We would like to see more people get involved in helping pastors around the world start new churches and I am very excited to share with you the launching of I Started a Church!

You will be hearing more about it in the weeks and months to come as of last month I Started a Church will be my main involvement and responsibility at Global Action but for the moment, I need few things that I am asking my friends to help me with:

• Prayers
• Pray for the safety of our trips – ten flights for twelve days;
• Pray for my family as I am away from home – for their safety and wellbeing;
• Pray for all our meetings with our ministry leaders;
• Pray for God’s annointing and presence in all our conversations and discussions!

Next to me was a mother, holding her 4-week-old baby boy. Yep, you guessed it – the baby was sleeping! Earlier the captain told us that they are avoiding some heavy storms around Denver and I knew it will be a rough landing by the way the plane was moving. Yet in the calm and bliss-like expression on the infant’s face was the cutest reminder I’ve had in a long time about what it really means “leaning, leaning, leaning in the everlasting arms!”

Half of the passangers were probably thinking about final prayers at those moments and that baby was clueless. Except feeling the gentle hands and sweet wispers coming from his Mom!

Wish I can relax like that when I face the storms!

On the other hand, where is the fine line between confidence/good-self-esteem and arrogance/pride? What would make you stand on this or that side of the line?

We wanted to get our plants about two feet from the fence and the neighbors on the other side of the fence have a big tree that has spread its roots under the fence and into our yard. Are you getting the picture? It took me longer time and more hitting/cutting than I used for actually digging the dirt!

I was thinking of at least few spiritual lessons but am too tired to write! So, if you get any thoughts, let me know.
