The last two weeks were a little difficult with the very cold weather we had here. I am not complaining, just sharing, OK? The temperatures dropped down to -25C, with a windchill of -40C… the old Jeep couldn’t start in the mornings and Annika’s preschool was closed, along with canceled ballet class. All that meant that both Rennie and Annika were home prisoners for almost a whole week!
Today the weather feels like a wonderful, sunny Spring day! It’s 16C, Annika is outside playing, I am outside writing this, and the feeling of approaching Springs is so energy-filling!
We had a wonderful dinner time with friends on Friday, today we had lunch with other friends from church, and next Friday the same friends from today will come over for a dinner! We are on a roll! A dinner roll! It was about time to start getting out of our little, cozy hole and making new friends around here! Not to mention that with the Spring coming we will be gearing up more and more towards exploring all the wonderful places around us for hiking, miking, trailing, sailing, etc. So, expect more posts here – if not on a regular basis, at least from time to time!
As a finish of this short piece, here’s Annika, playing in the backyard… the boy on the fence is our neighbors’ son, Ethan…
